The GTW 500 was introduced mid 1930s and was still in production in 1949, by which time it had been fitted with telescopic forks and a primitive form of plunger rear suspension. Earlier models had parallelogram rear suspension with friction damping.

Moto Guzzi P Series

The P series models included P175 (introduced 1932), 1934 246cc P250 & PE250 (E for Elastico, rear suspension) PES (sport), 1937 PL250 and PLS250 (L for Lamiera, pressed-metal frame - or, according to another source L for Leggera), PLS 1938. The 1939 PES250 was given the Airone name, whilst the two rigid-framed models were named Egretta (lusso) and Ardetta (normale)
