500 Super Side Valve
SPECIFICATION
ENGINE. "New-Hudson" Super-Side Valve, 79.5 x 100 bore and stroke — 496 c.c. Aluminium alloy piston. Connecting rod mounted with double row roller bearings on large diameter crankshaft.
GEARS. Improved 1929 3-Speed Gear Box with gear selector (ratios 4¾, 7¼, and 12 ½ to 1).
FRAME & FORKS. Improved 1929, providing safe and comfortable riding position.
TRANSMISSION. Renold Chains throughout. Shock absorber on engine shaft.
LUBRICATION. Mechanical Pump, with additional " direct - to - engine " emergency hand pump.
TYRES.
Dunlop Cord, large diameter 26x3.25
BRAKES.
Internal expanding front and rear.
SADDLE.
Terry Spring Seat Saddle.TANK.
Improved 1929 Saddle Tank of large capacity, with knee grips.
HANDLEBAR.
Improved pattern adjustable for height and reach. Steering Damper.
CARBURETTER. Binks’ Sports with twist grip throttle control.
IGNITION. "M.L." High Tension Magneto and special Lodge Sparking Plug.
FOOTRESTS. New design, adjustable to any position.
EQUIPMENT. Tecalemit Grease Gun, Tool Box, Tools and Inflator.

Integrally-mounted Long Lever Gear Control is recommended and fitted as Standard, but Quadrant Gate Change Control (illustrated) is alternatively fitted if specified.
