Motobecane & Motoconfort Scooters

1951 saw the introduction of scooters to the firm's catalogues.

Models SCC and STC (1952-1955)

The first models, the Motobecane SCC and the Motoconfort STC are powered by a 125cc engine and are termed "Mobyscoot", the last of which were produced in 1955.

The first SC models were delivered with an engine from the D45, but this was soon replaced by an engine, fitted to the SCC, built specifically for the scooter.

Specs: 4-stroke engine block, 125 cc, 3 speeds - cast aluminum chassis with integral fuel tank - headlight integrated into the front apron - 8" wheels - rear single-side swinging arm - spare wheel - max speed 50 km/h - metallic light green colour.

Motobecane SB (1954-1957)

At the Paris Salon, the company presents the "Mobyscooter" SB (SV Motoconfort).

Motobecane SBH (1956-1957)

In 1956, the SB / SV remained in production, and is joined by the "grand luxe" version SBH (SHV at Motoconfort).

Type M - Type O (1957-1962)

In 1957 they revealed the "Moby-Montagne" SBS (SVS at Motoconfort);

This had a two-stroke engine with a hard chrome lined aluminum cylinder - 3 speeds via twistgrip control - chain drive via a sealed housing, 3.5x10 tyres - tubular chassis with swinging arm engine-transmission - 130mm drum brakes - front and rear luggage racks - 2-tone paintwork - rubber footrests - trim strips on the front apron and front mudguard.

Production ceaseed in 1960.
