F.B. Mondial 175 Serie Oro 1958

In 1956 the Super Turismo was introduced at the motor show featuring a new 175cc engine using pushrods and rockers with a bore and stroke of 60 x 61mm which was produced by the Michelini company in Bologna. This motorcycle appeared in the 1957 catalogue.

Note: for the first thousand units of this model the F.B Mondial logo changed - "F.B" no longer appears and the accent changes alongside the letter M. The logo was specific to the 1957 Super Turismo.

In 1958 the Turismo, Sport, Sprint, Super Turismo, TV and specifically the 175 GS models were presented in the catalogue. In 1959, only the Super Turismo model was marketed. In 1960, the Serie Oro (Gold Series) was born which included the 175 Super Turismo, Sprint (with two mufflers) and the 5-speed Super Sprint, of which only 40 were built.

In 1961 there was only the 175 Sprint model on the list as due to the demise of the Michelini company, most other models were longer produced.

It has been reported that the "Serie Oro" was produced by Boselli to celebrate 30 years of production of F.B. Mondial.
