The "Mondialino" moped was introduced at the 1954 Milan Motor Show featuring a pressed-metal chassis and achieved immediate commercial success. Produced at the firm's new factory at Via San Giusto in Milan, for 1955 a sports model was addded to the catalogue.
In 1957 three new models appeared with a 3-speed gearbox and frame no longer in stamped sheet metal but tubular with a double closed cradle and telescopic forks, named Mondialino 'Sport 49', 'Luxe 49' and 'Turismo 49'. Colour schemes included bright red with white inserts, and bordeaux with black inserts on the tank.
The lightweight "Mondialino" became the base model of a long line of entry-level models. The Mondialino was further refined in subsequent years and remained in production until 1960.
