Starmakers were fitted to sports machines including Cotton, the James Cotswold, the DMW Hornet (DMW also coupled two Starmakers to make a 500cc twin), Francis-Barnett Scrambler 94 and some Competition Classics machines. They were also used by Sprite, Chris Butler and Scorpion, all British machines, and in Peter Inchley's scrambler of 1966, the forerunner of the AJS Stormer.
