Hermes Motorcycles

A Brief History of the Marque

Sold Neckarsulmer 4-stroke V-twins of 2½ PS, 312cc rebadged as Hermes.

The firm became part of AB Nymans Verkstäder, Uppsala, ca 1910-1913, which was later absorbed by MCB Monark

Hermes bicycles were still being produced in the 1950s.

Several other marques used the Neckarsulmer engine - see Swedish Makes with NSU Engines

N.B. Upsala is the archaic spelling - both versions appear on Hermes factory literature.
