Elvir BMA Motorcycles

The third company created by Marcel Viratelle after his Lyon adventure produced the Elvir bicycle attachment engine (BMA).

From November 3, 1922, following the takeover of his Lyon company by SLIM, the majority shareholder, on November 3, Marcel returned to Paris where he set up as a workshop at 6 passage des tourelles on June 1, 1929 where he began producing the Elvir, the name being derived "Marcel Viratelle". The new company remained on the register until 1954. He had previously filed patents for the Elvir engine on November 18, 1922.

Between 1932 and 1940 the sale of BMAs and accessories was complementary to his salaried activity at Gnome & Rhône.

He also made accessories for automobiles and motorcycles, among them a rearview mirror, an articulated model that is adjustable and locks with one hand without tools, according to the instructions.
