Serveta Scooters

A Brief History of the Marque

Spanish built Lambretta

Serveta SA was formed in 1964, a development of Lambretta Locomociones SA which built Lambretta scooters under licence with production models first available in 1954.

By the 1970s they had entered the UK and USA markets with their Jet 200 and others, and in 1982 changed the company name, under new ownership, to Lambretta SAL. Sales began to fall off, the company changed hands again, and towards the end of the 1980s (sources differ - 1985 & 1989 are mentioned), production ceased.

Serveta Lince (Lynx) scooters of 125cc, 150cc, and 200cc were built from 1983 to 1989. They also built Lambretta scooters under the Eibar marque.
