The Parilla factory began building the 49cc "Parillino" in 1956.
The factory continued to build 49cc models until 1964. There was also a 2-stroke 49cc engine option and a step-through touring model.
Cosmopolitan Motors marketed this machine as the "Hornet" when they introduced it in the United States in 1958. Two years later they changed the name of the moped to the "Dart". The engine was a 3-speed 49cc OHV 49cc. The Parillino 'Sport' was sold in the US with a larger fuel tank and a small windshield.
