Louis Serouge, 1955-1958
Ets Louis Serouge, 138 rue Aristide Briand, Levallois (Seine)
The firm built a variety of 49cc and 65cc engines of their own design, and also built engines under licence to Itom based on the Itom Tourist. Their engines were sold to other manufacturers including AGF, Bondi, Esper, Isoflex, Le Sauvage, Narcisse, Riva-Sport, Robert Oubron, Royal-Codrix and Stella. The Louison Bobet and the Lapébie, both built by Mercier, also fitted the SER engine.
SER mopeds were built in Spain by a company of the same name which also built SER engines under licence from 1956 to 1962, some years after the French company ceased production. See Ser (ES).
