The Bamby three-wheel microcar first appeared in 1983 and was designed and built by Alan Evans of Hull. The vehicle was a single seater with a fiberglass body that had a single gull-wing type door. Initially powered by 49cc Minarelli, it was later fitted with 50cc engines from Yamaha and Suzuki, and the gullwing was dropped in favour of a conventional door. Production ceased early in 1985 after about 20 had been built. The firm restarted production in 2011 with a Peel P50 replica named the Bamby P50.
The Lakeland Motor Museum has displayed a gullwing model.
