Paul Kelecom was the FN engine designer.
He had been designing single-cylinder motorcycle engines for several years which were used under license by many early motorcycle manufacturers including Triumph, Veloce and FN, who he began working with in 1903. At FN he worked initially on their existing sidevalve singles and in 1904 introduced a four-cylinder engine. In 1905 it was displayed at the Paris Cycle Show where it caused a sensation.
Paul Kelecom wrote a paper in 1905, Monographie des Industries du Bassin de Liège, Industrie du Cycle et de l'Automobile. This is the source of information for several marques of which little is known.
