J.G. and F.B. Hall, trading as The Hall Bros at 51-53 Druitt Street, Sydney, assembled motorcycles using Sarolea engines from about 1907 to 1909, and also built Traveller bicycles.
It seems likely that the Halls bought the business from Frank Grimley, Ltd, who dealt in Sarolea and Traveller in previous years.
The business changed substantially in 1911 when they switched to the maritime trade, marketing their "H.B." engine from new premises at 211 George Street, near Circular Quay.
The Daily Telegraph (Sydney, NSW) Sat 2 Oct 1909
...Hall Bros have included in their exhibit a full range of their Ferro marine engines, ranging from 3-h.p. to 11-h.p.. The engines are shown complete, ready to be fitted in the hull, with propeller, shaft and all the necessary equipment. Mr. Fred Hall is just now experimenting with a boat fitted with an 11-h.p. Ferro, and expects to be able to record a good speed in his trials during the next few days.
