Manufactured by Miquel Simó, 1925-1933, 1957
Simó was a well-known Catalan GP rider whose motorcycles were highly regarded for their quality. Before the civil war he manufactured his own brand of motorcycles along with motocarro and three-wheeled microcars.
In 1957 a microcar with a fiberglass body powered by a 197 cc Hispano Villiers engine was presented at the Barcelona Trade Fair. The three-wheeler does not appear to have entered production.
Much has been written about both the rider and his machines.
Exhibited at the Feria de Muestras de Barcelona (Barcelona Trade Fair) in 1957, the prototype of the Simó microcar has bodywork by Carrucerías Marrugat of Barcelona. Photograph from a book on Spanish microcars by Miguel Pascual Laborda.
