Sigurd Mopeds

A Brief History of the Marque

Sigurd Logo

Sigurd Gesellschaft mbH Cassel was founded in 1919 and traded until the mid 1970s

The firm marketed mopeds with Sachs 50cc engines from 1954 to 1956. They possibly also marketed motorcycles from 1937 to c.1940.

In addition to motorcycles, Sigurd also made cameras, sewing machines, bicycles and gramophones.

There appears to be no relationship with the Sigurd by Haussherr of Berlin (1902-1912).
