Rex-Moped-Verkauf GmbH., Braunschweig was founded by the brothers Bagusat.
After moving to Munich, between 1948 and 1964 the company built bicycle engines and complete mopeds. The two-stroke engines were of 31cc, 34cc, 40cc, and 49cc. In 1954 their promotional literature claimed that 750,000 machines had been sold.
The company history is rather tragic in that its resources were gambled away, leaving nothing to pay the suppliers or employees.
The last of their machines were built (or assembled) by Pantherwerke, also of Braunschweig.
