A Brief History of the Marque
Deutscher-Automobil-Konzern GmbH of Trödelring 4, Leipzig, 1923-1925.
DAK was a consortium which owned automobile manufacturers Magirus Presto, Vomag and Dux.
DAK built lightweight motorcycles using JLO engines of 117cc and 147cc with belt drive and two speeds. The excursion of the carmaker into the motorcycle sector ceased after two years due to unprofitability - at the time there were a great many German motorcycle firms vying for sales in a fast-shrinking market.
