Burgfalke Microcars

A Brief History of the Marque

Manufactured by Burgfalke Fahrzeugbau, 1958

Burgfalke had previously built aircraft and were well known for their gliders. With the intention of building light cars, they purchased the remaining stock of Victoria 250 microcars which had been developed from the Spatz designed by Egon Bruetsch and then redesigned by Ledwinka at Victoria.

Burgfalke established a factory in Bavaria and produced the Burgfalke Export 250 in 1958. They had planned to purchase some 180 unfinished vehicles from Victoria, but were unable to finance the deal. Only a handful of prototypes were built, two of which were shipped to America.
