Korn et Latil
In 1898 La société Korn et Latil was founded in Marseille by Georges Latil and Alois Korn. They invented a system that replaced the steering axle of horse-drawn carts with an engine.
In 1903 the firm moved to Levallois-Perret, changed the name to "Avant-train Latil" and had great success transforming all manner of horse-drawn wagons. The name was changed in 1908 to "Compagnie Française de Mécanique et d'Automobile - Avant-Train Latil" and began building trucks. There is no mention of motor-tricycles in any of the available literature, but there is a record mentioning that they used De Dion-Bouton engines.
