A Brief History of the Marque
Alwin produced a scooter in 1920. It was a rather strange and crude contraption as it wasn't fitted with a saddle, so it resembled a child's foot-propelled scooter, which the firm also produced.
It was powered by 1.75 hp two-stroke engine with in-line crankshaft which was fitted at the front, and it had unsprung forks and a long handlebar stem. The tyres were solid and the fuel tank was clipped above the engine.
